DigiFest venue change update, and more… [Chalk News, July 2024]

By Sarah Cronk, July 2024

School's out for summer! What are your plans for enjoying Eastbourne while the sun is out? Here's a selection of what's on over the next few weeks:

...and there are plenty more events besides. Make the most of our holiday hotspot!

Venue change for DigiFest - We're going to the Kings Centre!

It's all go for Kings!

For those of you who have (or haven't yet!) booked your tickets for Eastbourne DigiFest, we wanted to let you know that the venue will be changing to The Kings Centre (BN23 6PT).

The Kings Centre is a fantastic venue that offers excellent facilities, great access via public transport or car, and a welcoming atmosphere. The team there will be supporting us to deliver on all aspects of this jam-packed conference.

Unfamiliar about the venue, the area of Eastbourne, or how to get there?

We've put together some visitor information to help make the day as smooth as possible for you - check it out.

More changes? No!

There are no plans to make any further changes to the Eastbourne DigiFest "package" for this year - three stages of talks, a fabulous exhibition, breakfast patisseries, lunch, and afternoon cookies are still on the cards!

We are dedicated to making Eastbourne DigiFest an outstanding experience for everyone involved. Your support and participation are vital to its success, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding this venue change. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

We'll see you there!
We look forward to seeing you at The Kings Centre on Thursday 10th October and celebrating another successful Eastbourne DigiFest together.

Give a lightning talk at Chalk Connect

Our community meet up, Chalk Connect, is ever growing and evolving. The next session is scheduled for Tuesday 6th August at FOUNDRY in the Beacon in Eastbourne from 5pm - 7pm (and like always, it's free to attend!).

We're looking for attendees to give 10-minute lightning talks on something in the sector you're passionate about, a project you've been working on, or something you know a lot about. These normally take place in the first half of the session, with relaxed discussion in the following hour.

All are welcome to attend, no ticket required - and if you'd like to speak, please drop our Chalk Connect coordinator, Sarah Bird, a line.

One last thing...

Did you enjoy last year's DigiFest? Would you be kind enough spare a minute or two and leave a review on our website, please? Our review widget is provided by thebestofeastbourne.co.uk.

The Chalk Eastbourne newsletter will be taking a break over August, but Eastbourne DigiFest will be in touch with lots of exciting conference news.

Until next time,

Sarah, Donna, and the Chalk Eastbourne team
