Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) Developer
£28,000-£30,000, Eastbourne
We're seeking an RPA Developer to lead our automation initiatives, particularly focusing on our EMIS IT system integration and patient communication processes, including AccuRx and Social Media. This is an on-site position requiring regular presence in our East Sussex offices to collaborate closely with our clinical and administrative leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement RPA solutions, particularly focusing on EMIS system automation
· Develop and maintain automated processes for patient communications and administrative workflows
· Manage and optimize our existing automation platforms, including Microsoft Power Automation
· Create and maintain documentation for all automated processes
· Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership team to identify automation opportunities
· Ensure all automated processes comply with NHS data security and GDPR requirements
· Monitor and report on automation performance metrics
· Maintain system security and data integrity across all automated processes
Technical Responsibilities:
· Lead RPA process design and system integration
· Develop solutions across the entire automation development lifecycle
· Create functional specifications for new automation projects
· Manage day-to-day operation of RPA platforms
· Handle process scheduling and maintenance
· Monitor and optimize platform performance
· Manage patch compliance and system upgrades
· Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues
Desired Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
· Experience with healthcare systems, particularly EMIS
· Strong understanding of RPA principles and methodologies
Essential Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automation or similar
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts to clinical and non-technical staff
· Understanding of GDPR and healthcare data security requirements
Desirable Skills:
· Previous experience in healthcare settings
· Understanding of NHS digital transformation initiatives
Work Location:
This is a fully on-site position based in East Sussex
Regular in-person collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership teams is required
